Purgatory
Torn open and thrown aside.
Left to witness all who must die.
Within these walls, I couldn't miss...
A single heartbeat or tear.
When the baneful sight has reached my eyes,
I lay forlorn, forsaken.
For in these hallowed halls I dwell,
Attentive to the souls of man.
Some destined for Hades,
Others condemed to the light of ecstasy.
The accursed yearn for a choice,
From one they know they can't reach...
A daemon in their own eyes.
Such a deity bound forever.
In the face of the harvester I stand rapt,
Awaiting my turn for demise.
I relinquish myself entirely,
Bearing my impending fate without complaint.
An eternity of Hell,
Is better than a moment left abandoned.
The lethal touch of the Reaper,
More benign than the embrace of unfading faux hope.
An existence in purgatory, so rapturous!
Than one spiritless life on terra firma.
Torn open and thrown aside.
Left to witness all who must die.
Within these walls, I couldn't miss...
A single heartbeat or tear.
When the baneful sight has reached my eyes,
I lay forlorn, forsaken.
For in these hallowed halls I dwell,
