Book One: Chapter Three ~ Things Revealed

Aimay looked around the stained window, and then up at the sky, she didn't see anything... Until, she looked down. Aimay gasped, she saw what looked like a small person, in some mythical clothing, they looked toyish, and the person seemed to look like a girl. "Aimay!" Aimay turned around and saw Taneki in his pajamas. "I'm going to go to bed you gonna sleep yet?" Aimay looked from the window to Taneki, and finally sputtered out a "Yes... Later", and Taneki left to his room, which was right next to Aimay's.

Aimay looked out again, and the figure, looked suffocated from the mud, that the rain was pouring... Aimay closed the window, and thought what she should do. 'What is that thing? Is it supposed to even exist? Am I dreaming?' Aimay then thought back to this morning's news, and she grew wide-eyed. "The Shadow Kitten?" There was only one way to find out. Aimay went out to the hallway, and went down stairs. She knew it was cold, and now the rain seemed like it was flooding the ground, but she couldn't help it, Aimay wanted to find out what it was that was outside her window. Aimay opened the door that led to the front of the dojo, and walked to where her room was and then she heard a moan coming from the ground she was stepping on. Aimay lifted her foot, and there was the figure, now that she looked closer at the figure, she KNEW it was a girl, and it had orange hair with long bangs, it wore a large hat that looked like a joker's hat, and she wore saggy pants and a long sleeved shirt.

"Oh my God..." Aimay didn't know what to do at the moment, but she thought fast and cupped her hands to carry the little girl in her hands, again the girl moaned, as if in pain, and stayed silent the rest of the time Aimay took to get back in the house. Aimay looked around the hallway to see if anyone was there, and then Aimay looked at the time. "12:32 p.m." Aimay whispered to herself, then Aimay heard a loud flush. "Aimay?" Aimay turned around to see Taneki come out of the bathroom, Aimay panicked, how was she supposed to explain to Taneki about THIS? "What are you doing up so late?" Asked Taneki. Aimay sighed and she thought that this was the only solution. "Can... You keep a secret?" Asked Aimay, Taneki was shocked at the question, but just nodded in agreement. Aimay then motioned Taneki in her room and layed the little girl in her hand on a desk that was installed for Aimay in the room.

Taneki looked at the "thing" and stared at Aimay with his What-the-heck-is-this? face on. Aimay gave him her I-have-no-idea face, and for a moment they both couldn't believe they knew what their faces meant. The little girl woke up with a slight groan and moan, and the two looked at it in excitement both wondering what it might do. The girl then opened and blinked it's eyes, which turned out to be REALLY big, the eyes looked like a deep purple. The thing rubbed it's head and looked up at the two people towering before her. "GAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Taneki and Aimay jumped at the sudden scream from the small girl, and the girl dusted herself off, and tried to get rid of the mud on her clothes. "Ugh, and I just bought these too..." The girl looked up, again, at the two startled people, and the girl waved her hands out in front of her. "You... Can see me?" Aimay and Taneki first looked at each other in confusion and then they nodded at the thing. "Wow, then you guys must be Neko's to huh? From the Nekokushu? Or..." The girl drew out two sharp knives, and the two, Aimay and Taneki, grew afraid, not sure why they would be so afraid of the little thing. "Or are you guys from the Oshinomo?!" Taneki and Aimay looked even more confused, they didn't know WHAT the thing was talking about, but they weren't sure if they wanted to know.

"Wait, you don't know what they are do you?" Asked the little girl. Both, Taneki and Aimay shook their heads, and the girl was even more confused. "Come with me, and maybe SHE can explain it to you..." The girl jumped out of the window and landed firmly on her feet. "Come on it stopped raining!" Aimay and Taneki knew that they wouldn't have school tomorrow since it was the weekend, and they also knew that Taneki's sisters would not wake up untill late in the morning. "Should we?" Asked Taneki. Aimay nodded, because she knew that this was something big, and she changed in her room, while Taneki changed in his room. Taneki and Aimay both met up with the small girl outside the dojo, and followed the little girl for at least half and hour. The small girl stopped in front of a bridge where there seems to be a woman sitting under it. Aimay and Taneki froze and knew that the sillouhette looked REALLY familiar...

"The Shadow Kitten..."
