Kalt, Lok and Ice had finally seen the thing they had been dying to see since they entered the forest, the exit. They stepped out from under the towering trees and observed the open sky. Numerous birds had flown out from the same direction as they exited. Lok put his arms up and streched, "Damn! Finally out of that place!" Lok was at least happy, and Ice looked at the horizon with hope and happiness, But I could not venture to smile. My soul had been crushed by Soma's prediction. I felt him; his presence. He was deep down inside of me, But his presence spread througout Lok and Ice as well.

As we advanced around a mountain pass, I saw something I had never seen before; blue streching as far as I could see. We all gazed upon the ocean with awe and amazement. Ice saw the ocean and began walking faster and faster until he finally broke out into a run. "Ice! Where are you going in such a hurry?" I yelled, keeping up with him easilly. "I havent been in the ocean for so long! I cant wait!" Ice said sprinting ahead. His speed began to even rival mine. We all raced to the edge ov the ocean and gazed upon its radient glory. As we stopped at the edge, I noticed something strange about the beach. Footprints. There were footprints scattered all over the beach, but not a person in sight. I looked back, behind me. There were no houses, huts, stands, shops or anything that anyone might harbor themselves in.

But there was something behind me when I decided to turn around. A girl walking down the mountain path who had familiar hair and familiar brown eyes. Jenny was running down the mountain path. Theyhad finally found us. "Guys! Look! Its Jenny!" Lok and Ice were too busy wrestling in the water to hear anything i said, So i proceded alone to go and meet Jenny at the bottom of the mountain. As I approahed her, she ran up to me and jump-hugged me. I staggered back at he rimpact and noticed my shoulder felt wet. Jenny was crying hard aginst my shoulder."Jenny?" I asked, "Whats wrong?" She looked up at me, her pure chocolate eyes clouded by tears, "Oh, Kalt!" She said, "He took them! He took Aruna and Raven!" My heart sank again. Only one person could have abducted twoinnocent girls...besides a perv. Drance.

'Jenny, which way did he go?" "I-I dont know." I felt a sadness overtake me once again, but this time, I felt another presence while thinking about the girls. Suddenly, Soma's soul collided with mine and I heard myself think, " The girls are fine. I've seen what Drance is doing to them. Both of them are okay." Then, Soma left my body and I felt my thoughts return to normal. "Jenny, dont worry. I have my sources, and I know the girls are fine." " Kalt...how do you-" Jenny was interupted by the sound of metal on metal near the beach. "We'll talk about this later. Come with me!" I grabbed her arm and ran to where Lok and Ice were. Both Ice and Lok were knee-deep in the water and a girl was standing in the sand, a bow aimed at them. Lok had arrows stuck in his left arm and leg, and Ice was untouched. The girl had deep black hair, with a single purple streak leading through the top of her ponytail. As I stepped onto the beach she immedatly turned around and shot an arrow at me, stabbing my side. I pulled it out quickly and noticed a green tip stuck in my side. Poisen. I pulled it out too. Poisen never seemed to affect me, but Lok had taken many hits. I wasnt sure about him.

"Just who do you think you are?" I yelled at her. She turned to reveal deep purple eyes."My name...is Eva. Remember it before you die, for you are not welcome here!" She loaded three arrows into her bow and fired at me. I pushed Jenny out of the way and managed to dodge the arrows myself."Damn Lycans. You too fast!" She began loading more arrows, and I took the time to observe her armour. She wore a purple kimono, black jeans with chains attached to them, and had brown boots. She wasnt well protected, so I might had been able to attack her...until Ice came from behind and whacked her with the blunt side of his sword. She went rigid and fell facefirst into the sand. ice gave me a thumbs up and picked up her sleeping body. I nodded at him and ran over to Lok, leaving Jenny to talk to Ice. "Lok, are you okay?" "I-Im not sure...I dont think I can move..." Paralysis poisen. "Dont worry, just relax. The only way this poisen's going to get out is if you let it run its course. Just relax, Ill drag you to shore." Lok kneeled over, halfway submerging himself in the warm ocean tide. He went limp and layed back, as I grabbed his arms and began dragging him thought the water. Ice came over to me, "Where should we camp tonight?" "Ha! Like you really have to ask?"

I dragged Lok under a tree and put a balled-up blanket under his head. He moved his head a little and uttered, "T-Thank You..." His movement was skecthy and stiff. The poisen was strong, but Lok was too strong to let it kill him. Ice lay the other girl down next to him and took out a flask of water. AS he poured it, his hand issued out a power to turn the water into clear, solid ice. "Huh." I muttered, "I'd almost forgotten you could do that. It must be fun." " You kidding? Its a balst! Freezing anything you like with a hint of your will? Its amazing! What about you? Whats it like becoming a wolf at the full moon?" He asked still playing with with the ice. Jenny, who had by now beome very boerd, sat under a tree and let the sea's breeze lull her to sleep. " It's...indescribable. Power surges through you and you become devoid of emotions, devoid of feelings. Nothing matters to you anymore than protecting what you love with the hopes of sinking your fangs into warm, tender flesh." My mouth watered at this sentence, but I suppressed my feelings for blood and lay down aginst a tree. The breeze was warm and soothing. I felt my eyes flutter, and I yawned. "You falling asleep?" Ice said. "For the first time...I can see the ocean. I can feel the breeze. Trust me, Ice, never seeing the sea will do things like this to you." The sun still hung high in the sky, but I felt myself drifting back into my dreams.
