The next morning, and while Kylia didnt want me too, we grabbed our things, some breakfast, and left the building. As we walked, Ice turned and stared deeply at the old building. "This is the first time Ive ever left that building for anything. I guess Ill miss that old place..." We waited another five miniutes, turned, and never saw the old building again.

Again, we began to traverse across the ice when a loud grumble came from behind us. Lok and I turned to see Ice standing straigt, eyes wide. "Heh, I skipped breakfast. Figured I give Kylia a break." "So now your hungry?" Lok asked, "Well its a little late now. Guess we'll have to hope that when we get off this hunk of ice, we'll find something" A low growl came from my stomach too. "Hope that's soon" I added.

We only had a few pieces of sausage yet. I offered one to Ice, but he turned it away. "But i thought you said you were hungry" "The only thing Ill achieve by eating that is getting sick" Then I realized, the sausage was still raw. Oh well, guess he'd have to wait. We walked for hours on end until we had discovered a city of skyscrapers out of the ice. "We need to go into this building." Lok said as he pointed to one of the tallest ones. "Why's that?" I asked. "Because I smell a half demon, and I know you can smell her too." "Actually..." "Are you saying you cant?" "No, really, I cant!" "Well, then i guess Ill have to lead."

We crashed throught into the building and ran up flights of stairs. "Kalt!" Ice called out, "Stop for a second!" I turned to see Ice struggling up the staris. "Lok, go on ahead. Just dont scare the crap out of her." He nodded and continued to climb. "Whats up Ice?" "I forgot how fast wolves were, and how fast you were." He sat on the 13th floor landing, and beckoned me to come sit. I knew that id we didnt move, we'd just upset Lok, so I stood. "Before you go," Ice said, "awnser me one thing. Why are we going after a half-breed?" "Well, a half-breed is still partly human. We swear to protect all humans, right? A vampire or lycan could still turn her, making her into something...well, lets just say it looks wrong." I said. "Alright, then. Go Kalt."

I ran up the rest of the stairs until I hit floor 21. Lok was waiting outside the door. " 'Bout time you came." He said. We opened the door into another hallway. We walked down a bit and Lok stopped at a door."She's in there." He said. I reached to open it, but he stopped my hand. "You havent had much luck with opening doors lately. Allow me." He kicked the door in and revealed and old suite. It was a large spacous room with spacious areas where one could hide. Lok came to move a sheet revealing a little 14-year old girl.

She had black hair, brown eyes and was weaing a black vest over a royal blue shirt with black long pants with royal blue shoes. The only thing that stuck out was, besides her choice of royal blue clothing, was the wolf ears and wolf tail that she had. "Oh, hello!" She said in a sweet voice looking at me. "What is your name?" "Hey, what about me?" Lok said angrilly. "Pipe down, boy." she sadi hapilly in response. "BOY?!?!?!" He shouted."Yes, boy, now calm down." He began to growl but didnt speak. She had sort of a calm sense around her that could even calm Lok. "Well, what's your name?" "Oh, sorry!" I said. "Im Kalt, and thats Lok. And our other friend, Ice, should be coming soon." At that moment he walked through the door and shouted "Man! How do you guys run so fast?" "Hello, Kalt, Lok, and Ice! My name is Jenny! Yes, Im am a half breed. I was abandoned by my pack when they found my dad was a human. Ive been wandering ever since!" she said with a smile. "Quite a life" she said. "hey, can you guys take me away from here? I dont really like it here. No one else is in this building and Im really lonely. Please?" She said with with big puppy eyes. "Well, I guess we can take you along." "Yay!" She yelled. "But we need to rest here tonight" Lok said. "Im kind of tired from all that running."

We settled into the suite that had plenty of room for all of us. Before we went to bed, Jenny came into the room with two black collars. "Hey you guys! Could you wear these? Youll look so cute!" Lok and I sat up in our bed's, looked at each other and said together at the same time, "No Way!" "Aww," she said " Ill get you to wear them sometime! G'Night!" She closed the door, I turned over in bed and fell asleep"
