The One who Remembers Treachery
I have long since lost the war
And I have already paid the debts
To the people who swore
That my battle would beat all bets
None had entertained
The notion of defeat
All had refrained
For no one could take the heat
A mutiny they call it
Among the outside world
But inside our caves, dull-lit
Morals and power are easily swrilled
I never saw it coming
Only felt the burning hot white fire
Everyone was humming
As he stood up and said a memorial. Liar!
He said I fell in battle
I smile on my face
They never knew - what cattle!
What was done to further my friends disgrace
They only thought of going home
Of their family and friends
But guilt will haunt them where ever they roam
Until I greet them with unforgiving hands.
