Current Song: The Minstrel's Prayer - Cartel
I've been a bit on the slow side the last couple days, so what's weighing on my mind at the moment is something from about five days ago that I just found out a few minutes ago.
Sometimes I really just can't help but think...
Was life like this five years ago, when I was a little kid? Was the whole world going to hell and the only reason I didn't notice was that I was just a kid and things weren't half-bad in my life? After all the trauma my friends have gone through, and are still going through, I really hope there's something to make up for it.
They say that living in this age (The wireless age, isn't it?) is better than any other time. We've got medicine, we've got more information than we could ever use at our fingertips. We've also got wars, worse than ever before because of the weapons. We've also got the harsh reality that all this great stuff is building up, and eventually the world is going to give us the bill for all the technological indulgence and advance. Don't yell at me about this, because I know that I'm a hypocrite, and I'm just one of about a thousand people complaining. But we're supposed to speak our minds in America, and I'd like to do that before some genius decides it's time to change that too.
