Short: Ethan Hunt, after retiring from the IMF, is asked to come back for one more mission. However, this mission soon sends him into a long assignment and once again the blame is placed on him.

Long: Ethan Hunt apparently retired after movie 2. The movie starts with him and his fiance having an engagement party. He suddenly recieves a code-worded phonecall, telling him to meet his former superior at the local liquor store for the item that will detail him on his assignment, which self-destructs five seconds upon it's end. It tells him that one of his former pupils was kidnapped and being interorgated and that this was a search and rescue mission.

In short, the first 30min. is "Yo Snake, go sneak dat sh**" "OKAY!"

So he rescues her, but he learns why she was captured. She was supposed to stop a weapons dealer from his business to terrorists. So they send him to do it. After the very cool process of sneaking into the Vatacan, using face-masks, and voice-translators, he fakes the person's death and makes way back to America.

However, while taking armored vehicles and luxury cars back to base, insiders liberate the weapons-dealer and headquarters place the blame on Ethan. Now, not only must he prove his innocence of a renegade agent, but he must also get "the rabbit's foot" for the dealer, as he has taken Ethan's wife (they got married at some miniscule point in the movie) hostage.

Overall, I liked it. Action packed and reminded me a lot of something I could see in the Metal Gear Solid game series.
