Recipe: Piccolo Pete Bottle Rocket
Ingredients: Piccolo Pete firworks
20oz. soda bottle
A nail
A hammer or blunt object. Hammer works best.
Newspaper.
Steps:
1) Spread out the newspaper over your desired working area. Make sure you're using two sheets.
2) Take your Piccolo Pete, remove the fuse and set it aside. Proceed to pour out the two powders into two, unmixed piles, one on each sheet of newspaper. One powder should be orange, one should be grey/dirty white.
3) Unscrew the cap off of the bottle. Take the nail and hammer and create a hole in the center of the cap. String the fuse through so it is even with the edge.
4) Fill the cap with the white powder so that it evens out with the edge and tip of the fuse. Be sure to take you thumb and pack it in. If more is required, use a second Piccolo Pete.
5) Re-screw the loaded cap on. *Make sure the bottle is not up-turned as to spill the powder!*
6) Set rocket against a verticle surface, on a stand, or aimed at a target, if you so wish. Light the fuse, then hide safely behind something.
The rocket, as to my past experiences, will do one of three things:
A) Become the rocket it was meant to do.
B) Become a solar flash.
C) Become a dud.
A verticle rocket is virtually harmless unless you get hit on the head with it coming down. Aimed at something, though, and it'll leave a mighty good bruise. Of course, the last time I made one was years ago, so my judgement on it's speed and impact may be over/under-estimated.
As to why I wrote this...I dunno.
