In a world full of war,
fighting, pain and death,
can love really live?
Isn't it just a word on a breath?
When fighting is all that we know
is there any room for love?
How can our hearts win
when there is no mercy from above?
But we fight for it anyways,
our hearts won't be ruled out.
Over the sounds of pain in war,
the screams, the bombs, we shout.
We will not be quieted down.
Even surrounded by this war,
we won't run, we don't have to leave town.
Even if it's just us two
left here after the war,
our hearts will still be here
our hearts will still soar.
So we shout above the gun shots
we scream above the bombs
even if this war kills us both
our hearts still love, despite the wrongs.
Even if I die
my heart will love you still
Only you hold this heart.
My love is something they can't kill.
Even with everyone dead
love can always live on.
Not war, nor hate, nor death
can force love to forever be gone.
War cannot kill love, only people.
