Trust

You took away your trust in me,
You won't let me help you,
so I'll let you be.

I'll sit here alone and always wonder why,
You went it alone,
And so I did cry.

I'd gone through it before,
A monster it was.
Takes away your sanity,
and and the other things it does.

I'll never forget the last look you gave me,
Never forget it to this day.
That night you cried into the phone,
the night your life slipped away.
