Around the fingers
of the dear old birch tree
the wind sings her song

#2.
Around the fingers
sit still my rings
marking promises

#3.
Around me there is snow
freezing my feelings for you
leaving me hollow

#4.
Red, orange, yellow leaves
fall from old maple trees
saddness and old age lingers

#5.
bamboo sprouts shot out of earth
with the falling of the spring rain
birth of life begins

#6.
you sat there looking
at the rain falling outside
like tears of angels in heaven
