A lifetime of Broken Memories
Just a story of my life and what happens to me.
Wow, it's been forever since I've done one of these things.
I suppose I should write something with some form of importance. I believe I'll write what I have so far on a character. It's going to be part of a book I am writing or will write when I stop being so damn lazy. Anywho, here it is. Comment, tell me what you think.

Name: Violet Nightingale

Age: 21

Race: Undead

Bio: Violet is the daughter of Josh and Ella Neider. She was born in Salem, Oregon. Josh and Ella meet in high school, once the teacher assigned them to be lab partners in Chemistry. Josh was a bad boy that constantly found himself in more and more trouble. He often wore black, chains, and dark black eye liner. He enjoyed pissing people off and getting his way. He was truly an arrogant loner. Ella was your all around All American Girl. Ella was the most popular girl in school, every guy wanted to date her, and every girl wanted to be her friend. Her parents were rich and she maintained a 4.0 grade point average. Ella's friend in Chemistry had been absent and everyone else had a lab partner, the teacher had been forced to pair the two together. Josh had been the only person in the whole school that didn't want anything to do with her. He paired with her but the majority of the time he kicked his legs up on the table and covered his eyes with his bandanna and slept. Ella finally was fed up with his attitude and yelled at him and told him to help her or just leave the group. After that Josh was attracted to her, she was popular and preppy but she wasn't like all the other girls. Ella was different, so he found himself bound to her. Ella noticed Josh actually trying to do his work and found out how smart he was. Josh was intelligent, he had a higher IQ than the high school Chemistry teacher did but he was just too lazy to do any work. Ella began to fall in love with him. They ended up dating for the rest of high school and graduating together. Josh opened up his own business and Ella went to college in the town to become a chemist.

After Ella graduated college and Josh's business was bringing in a stable income, the two decided to marry. After 3 years of marriage Ella became pregnate with her first child, Jeff. Jeff was just like his father and was just as handsome. After Jeff's 2rd birthday Ella gave birth to Violet. Jeff was jealous of Violet at first, not understanding that she was a baby and needed attention. Through the first few years of Jeff and Violet's life they two hated each other but they came to love each other once they hit their teens and got over their angst. Ella wanted another child since Jeff and Violet had grown older. Jeff was 18 and Violet was 16. Ella gave birth to their younger sister named Grace, after their grandmother. Jeff and Violet immediately loved her. Grace was such a sweet and adorabe child, she would grow up to be so beautiful.

Ella and Josh were very popular in the neighborhood. They were friends with everyone, until this new couple moved in. Adam and Katie Louser, they had a daughter named Ashley. Ashley was a very sick girl, around the same age as Violet, only a couple years younger. Adam was a doctor who had his own office but specialized in studies of the heart. Katie was a nurse and she worked at his office, assisting him with operations and check ups. Ella and Josh became close friends with this couple and encouraged Violet and Grace to go and visit Ashley. Violet was uninterested because of the age gap, Grace and Ashley were the same age and she would visit her regularly. Ashley was sick because she had heart problems, which was why her father became a doctor, to help her get better. Ella and Josh would take Violet, Jeff, and Ashley over to the doctors office for regular check ups.

Jeff eventually graduated high school and went off to college to get a degree in business. On Violet's senior year Adam diagnosed her with a heart disorder. Ella and Josh were distraught and had no idea how to handle it. Adam helped them and comforted them, he gave Violet several kinds of medicine and gave Ella and Josh discounts on the price of the money. Violet stayed home and slept the majority of the time, only going on for short walks because of how weak she was. She went on a walk one day and discovered a new business had just opened up. It was a fortune teller's business. Madam Luna was the owner. Violet walked by and hesitated, she felt she was being watched. She turned and gazed up at the building, a window on the second floor had a curtain swaying in the reflection of the world outside. Someone had been watching her. Violet wasn't one to be frightened, she was far too much like her mother. Violet took determined steps toward the entrance and walked inside the building.

The door shut on it's own behind her, she peered around the room. Incense burned and smoke engulfed the room. Animals were trapped inside cages, calling out to her. Strange objects littered the shelves, stars with circles around them, different kinds of cards with terrifying images, and boards with letters in bloody letters. There was a worn looking well filled with various colored stones. It was just a statue though, black, lace bags were hung on a hook beside the opening of the well. Violet reached out and ran her hands over the stones, she felt something...odd energies that she had never felt before. She picked one up carefully and held it to the light. She observed it, an image flashed in the center of the stone...a face...she thought it was just her refection but on closer observation she discovered it was Adam's. A harsh, deep-throated voice spoke. "What do you want child? Don't fool with things that you do not know of." Violet quickly dropped the stone and it feel back into the well. Her heart pounded violently against her chest. She remembered her condition, she needed to calm down. She turned around to see an old woman, wore with age. Wrinkles etched deep into her face and hair stained white and black. "I'll ask again child, what do you want?" Violet gulped down her fear and spoke. "I...I...I..saw someone watching me from the window on the second floor and decided to come in." The old woman smiled, she assumed this was Madam Luna. "Yes, you did see someone watching you. I was watching you." She slowly and carefully moved behind the counter and leaned her elbows on the clear table. "I was watching you because you have this aura about you, there's this sorta of pain...a problem. I can tell these things you know, don't call me a lier." Violet simply nodded, "Yes. I have a heart condition. It hurts me all the time, even more without my medication and with activity."

Madam Luna shook her head, "You say that out of ignorance. How do you know you have this 'condition'? You weren't weak like an old woman all your life. You were fine before something happened. You were fine and healthy before something....or someone came into town." Violet began to become a little nervous. "I was fine before this condition took affect, the doctor told me I was sick." Madam Luna smiled again, "Ahh, the doctor.'' She bent down and opened the glass cover to the counter and ran her hands over the items in the display. She stopped, picking up an artifact and bringing it to the counter and laying it down. "Do you know what this is child?" The necklace was on a golden chain, a pentagram was set at the bottom on, inside each section of the points of the stars were blood colored stones. She had never seen anything like it before in her life. "No, I have no idea what that is." Madam Luna picked it up and cradled it in her hands. "This is a pentagram necklace, an ancient artifact that by legend belonged to one of the gods. Anyone who means any harm to the wearer of this necklace 'causes it to pulsate and a life threatening person 'cause it to glow." She held it out toward Violet. "I want you to have it. I feel you might need it in the future.'' Violet simply looked at it, "But I don't have the money to pay for such an expensive and valuable item.'' In truth she didn't want it. "No, it's not for sale. This is a gift for you." Madam Luna insisted. "I believe you should have this. It seems to be calling for you." Violet didn't enjoy being in this uncomfortable position and was becoming tired. She just wanted to go home and sleep. She accepted it, holding it just as carefully as Madam Luna had. "Go ahead, put it on child." Violet couldn't help but smile at the old woman's eagerness. She undid the clasp and secured it around her neck, Violet pulled her hair over the chain and gazed at the woman.

That's all I have so far...but meh. It's alright. Still a work in progress.
