It's been a busy busy week for me this last week. As I sit at work on Monday morning though, I'm content. I'll give a quick recap of the last week for those who wonder where I've been....
Monday: Had no plans after work, but broke my power cord for my laptop when I got up at 3am before (or perhaps when) stumbling back into bed.
Went to the Apple Store after work to get a replacement, spent an hour after reaching home searching for my dental paperwork so I could turn in a claim for reimbursement for some funds I set aside and forgot about (and will lose if I don't successfully claim them by the end of this month >>;; ), took a shower, ate, went to bed.Tuesday: I had no specific plans this night either. Which changed about 30 minutes before I got off when someone asked me to come have dinner. So I did. Managed to make a friend in one of the other offices of my company who is also a gamer! That was fun.
Home around 7, make food, eat, do laundry, about 45 minutes of free time before sleeping.Wednesday: Class after work from 5-6. Stop by the grocery store on the way home. Shower, go downstairs for Game Night, which in this case means Tabletop Gaming. I joined the 7th Sea game a couple of my housemates are currently playing. I actually quit game earlier than most of them so I can get to bed on time.

Thursday: PESTO! <3 After work I went and took my car to get it cleaned inside and out and then went to a friends house where they made a Pesto chicken and pasta - pesto made from scratch. I actually felt a little bad that they were hand-chopping the pine nuts and fresh basil, but wow, it was really good. heart Stayed up a bit late playing video games, fell asleep on the couch.

Friday: I hadn't slept terribly well on the couch, so I overslept Friday morning. Ended up being about 40 minutes late to work. It wasn't so bad though. Since I'm usually the most reliable of the administration team in the office for being on-time I can get away with being late once in a while with no big deal. Plans for the evening were canceled, but then supplanted by other plans a bit later on. Finished watching season 4 of Angel. Had about an hour of time to myself that night.

Saturday: Saturday was completely taken up by the Download Festival, except for a few brief stints of playing Pokemon on my DS earlier in the day. This was my first real concert at a major venue since moving back to California, so I was very happy and excited just to be there. Headline band was The Cure, and playing with them was AFI and a few other bands whose names I never heard before and cannot now remember. I had a good time at the concert. A little too much smoke going around, since we were at the Shoreline, and the Mosh Pit was a bit annoying during AFI, but overall it was good. I need to try and get some of the pictures off of my camera. They aren't fabulous, but they'll serve just to let you see!

Sunday: Sunday I had plans for Great America. The friend I was going with though, was one who also went to the concert with me the previous night, and we found that we were both a bit wiped out and run down from the excitement of the concert + a bit too much second hand smoke inhalation.
We still went to Great America. We just didn't actually ride on any rides. We walked around, got a refill on cotton candy and another on kettle corn, (99cents ea. with our refill bucket x3 ), looked to see if they had any good refillable cups (they didn't - no handles), and left again. xd Yay for Season Passes.I did find a snake in one of the stores though.
I'm half-convinced that it wasn't supposed to be there and it was something someone had brought in with them then put down and left behind and forgotten about. It was the only one of it's kind in the store, and we found similar snakes in another store, but only in green and yellow. Mine is blue. xD; He's so pretty, and he makes a nice scarf substitute too. We named him Cobalt. <3 The rest of Sunday was fairly mellow, run to Costco for Dimetapp, to Lucky's for GFI Chai Latte, to Ranch 99 for Crysanthemum tea, and back home to hang out and talk and do internet searches for a place to buy leather lacing. In Anchorage I had a place I could walk into and buy it, but I've yet to find a similar place here in Cali. No worries though, I found a great online shop where I can buy a 10meter roll of whatever color I want for less than $5.
Oh the wonderful wonders of Leather String (lacing... whatever. xD wink .So that was my week. Oh yes, quick update in Pokemon. I'm currently trying to level a good 'catcher' pokemon so that I can set about catching all the rares and legendaries I'm missing. She's currently at level 68, but I think I'm going to level her to at least 80 before I'm satisfied. False Swipe is just a really low power attack. I've reached Stark Mountain, so I intend to make Buck do a LOT of work for me helping me level some various pokemon before I let him steal the magma stone. xD

Oh yes.. and someone may have scored a Bonus disc with Jirachi Sunday evening. So quite soon, after I take the time to catch all the other legendaries I haven't got round to catching yet, I might have all the legendaries, including event pokemon, except for the three new ones they created when Diamond and Pearl were released. Hehehe. whee

Okay, back to work now. I should have a couple of uneventful nights this weekend, so I might be online a bit more. Kava's been wearing that dress for far too long. xp

As far as the Event/Legendaries, I'm missing the three Diamond/Pearl events, a few of the in-game ones that I'm too lazy to hunt down, Deoxys, and Ho-oh. I could get Ho-oh, but I'm so damn lazy. I just have to trade a team back on to Colosseum and go through the Battle Tower, but it's time-consuming. :/
I actually have Arceus on my Pokedex though; a friend got one and swapped it to me for the entry's sake. ninja Lately in Diamond, I've been working on the Battle Tower off and on, getting points, and evolving a few random Pokemon for the Pokedex, or to trade for GTS. I still haven't gotten the GTS site to work for me though. :/
