So, in a departure from recent thought-filled entries, this is one is going to have a bunch of miscellaneous ramblings. xD;
I'm playing Pokemon Diamond again this week. I got distracted before by Animal Crossing... a game with which I have this sort of love-hate relationship. I love collecting things, and that there's always more to do, but I hate that I always miss things if I don't play every single dratted day.
Uh, so back to Pokemon Diamond, like I was saying. I was going good before, and I'd achieved all 8 gym badges and only needed to level a bit and go beat the E4. That was where the distraction hit me. So picking up where I left off, I've been doing dual duty by playing when it's time to sleep as an aid to falling asleep. Endless battling always makes me sleepy. It's the repetition. It's akin to highway hypnosis, methinks.
I've got roughly half my team to the goal level of 65 now. I say roughly because out of 6, two are leveled, one is in the middle of being leveled, and my HM/pick-up slave is also leveled. Actually, I did the slave first. What? I wanted him to be able to make some decent pick-ups while I was leveling the rest of them!
Aside from this, I've gotten back into drinking milk again. I had mostly dropped milk because a) the housemate I used to share milk with moved out, and b) an aunt told me that to really have the milk be healthy and beneficial for me, I needed to eat at least a tablespoon of yogurt with it. So for a while, I just didn't bother. I used to drink a lot of milk though, as a healthy substitute for other things, since it's fairly good for me, the 2% isn't that fattening, and it's pretty filling too. So I've started drinking milk again.
On a books front, I had another visit to the library a week and a half ago or so. Couple of weeks now? I've read several of the books already. Ringworld by Larry Niven, which took me a while to really get into, but I did eventually. I need to read more Sci Fi again. I also went looking for Mysteries... that was how I ended up with the Saint Just mysteries. (Saint Just mysteries is where a couple of my more recent phrases come from.. such as the 'yes-definitely' vs. 'well-maybe' )
I got a couple books with the writings of Oscar Wilde, but didn't manage to find his plays yet. I find his quotes and witticisms interesting... it seems he was much more interested in simply making witty plays on words than in expressing any particular point of view. It makes for an eclectic and sometimes contradictory collection. I found this one amusing:
"All charming people, I fancy, are spoiled. It is the secret of their attraction."
Ahh... I'm having a little trouble with my shoulders this week due to a project I'm working on at work that leaves me perpetually sore and trying to fight off spasms. Yesterday I had an entirely different problem with my lower back. I suspect it's a delayed response to a little too much bowling/dancing last Friday night + some other things we don't need to go into right now. >>;;
Ah yes. I joined Facebook recently. I'm finding it more fun than Myspace. I made a twitter account just for Kava and Gaia too. No followers yet. Y'all need to get on Twitter. Just because. It's fun! I demand you all join twitter! Right now! Then you can be my followers. <3 I linked mine from my profile to make me easy to find.
Oh yeah, btw... Bee outfit... ugh. New book item: <3
