Note: Oh yeah... Window and Crayle... don't forget to go read comments on the last entry, because I replied to you both! <3
So.... in the past two or three months I've been fairly distracted with real life issues and have only been on Gaia sporadically.
This put a real dent in my item hoarding activities, seeing as how in the last few months there have been a lot of 'ad-questy' type things where you get items, as well as the summer festival event. I did finally get into the event, and got my items, but I ignored the event entirely for about the first two or three days.
Here's a few things I learned while attempting to get my items:
-If you have javascript turned off, the DC loads a separate page instead of an overlay. It's still got the animation though, and in some browsers, the animation extends into the area occupied by the top navigation area, rendering many things unclickable. Oh, for the record, browsers I use are: IE, FireFox, and Opera on my PC... substitute Safari for IE on my Mac.
-The Blue Dragon X-box quest apparently is no longer available. >>;; I had to buy the tails in the marketplace to get some.
-In Opera on my mac, all of the drop down navigation menus on Gaia are inoperable, and there isn't any good substitute for them.
Anyways....
The last couple days has seen me spark a time-consuming project that I'd been meaning to get to for a few months now. My own inventory on this account is large enough to be awkward and troublesome to deal with, causing browsers or sometimes computers to freeze, slow down, etc. To avoid having this same problem on other accounts, I had decided a while ago to segregate my hoard of excess letters, event items, and quest items into three separate accounts.
Unfortunately, it took me so long to get to this, that by this time, I have hundreds of event and quest items all on the same account as the letters and so transferring 12 items at a time, this process is a bit slow.
I still feel it will be worth it though.
In doing so, I began organizing (by grouping same items together) the more reently acquired quest and event items in my hoard. It was a chore checking the inventories of all ten accounts and making sure all the excess had been transferred to the appropriate mule. I did discover something though. One of my accounts hadn't yet done the second Tsubasa questy ad to get the Sayoran's cloak item. I didn't know which one... just that I had less cloaks in the hoard than I should. Actually, I couldn't remember if the cloak had been second or third either.
Yes, I actually went account by account checking both the 2nd and 3rd quests until I found the one that hadn't yet acquired cloaks. >>;; If you find this surprising, you fail to appreciate what I mean when I say I'm an item hoarder.
I also caught up in the last couple days on making sure I'd collected 9 of the magic items on each account. Although, that particular quest I find extremely annoying, especially since most of the items are poor in quality and icky to wear. Not to mention you can only equip one at a time (well, two if you wear one in orb form, but that's lame).
I'm obviously not privy to the business details of that ad deal, but I have to say, I think we the users come off with the worse end of that deal. Despite the fact that the items are icky, their method of coninuing to renew it by adding more items has ensured that I have by now memorized the basics of the Magic the Gathering card game, which I previously knew nothing about.
Which reminds me. There is one question which returns an invalid answer no matter what answer you choose. It asks what the minimum number of cards in a deck is. I've tried out all four answers just for testing purposes, even though the correct answer should be 40, and it returns a 'fail' response for that question every time, no matter what I answer. So. incredibly. annoying. Apparently effective though. I vow to never play this card game, regardless of how much they've made me memorize about it. >>;; I've got to have my little revenge.
Tonight will probably find me transferring more items to the sub-mules... because I've now finished my collecting. I doubt I'll finish it tonight either. Oye, why didn't I start this project sooner? gonk

I'm actually getting set to transfer all of my excess letters and items to various mules, and redistribute the items on those mules as well. I have uh ... *counts* four mules. And it's frustrating, to me, that a lot of my items are scattered across various accounts. Some months ago I began a partial process of consolidating various items, but I still haven't completed it.
One mule is for "halloween" and "scary" quest items. One is for Xmas, one is for Easter and Gaiaversary stuff, one is for "Miscellaneous events" ... and all of them have random letters. To the point that I don't know what I have anymore, and that's ... er ... bad.
Also, answering 60 on the "faulty" question will give you the "right" answer.
60 is the minimum for tournament decks and standard decks. 40-60 is for, apparently, freestyle and beginner play. But whoever designed the quest was dumb enough to not realize that the information page didn't properly correspond to the questions and their answers. *sigh*
But yeah. The plan is to clean out my main's inventory to the point that there's nothing in storage except the few things that I feel necessary to keep on-hand. Furniture for when I change back from my Clover Shrine house, MC's that I never wear--but want to keep on this account for the sake of collection, and items that have some significant or sentimental value. whee
Because I have the same problems when trying to load my inventory or customize me screen. It drives me absolutely bonkers, trying for minutes on end to get my inventory to load. All too often it times out. gonk
