One day had past and still Ice had barely stayed ahead of her persurer. Her wound were hurting like hell. She had not had a chance to let them heal properly. It was late in the night when Ice heard something ahead.
She looked through the trees and saw movement. for a moment she thought the person following her had caught up. Then she realized that they were more orcs and this time there was a demon among them. It was a snake demon by the smell of him. It was something between a dump and the smell of a basilisk.
Ice winced as she pulled her twin scimitars out of there sheaths. she knew she would not be able to sneak past them not while her her wounds were unhealed. Because everytime she moved the wrong way her wound would reopen letting the sent of blood fill the air.
She moved silenty back the way she came hoping the small amount of forest wind would favor her....
I didn't her sent was soon caught be bothe the demon and the orcs. "damn". They were coming directly for her she ran softly through the forest. The animals around were all quiet. Silently waiting for something to happen. and it did. Soon after she started to run the demon caught up to her just like she thought it would the orcs were far behind.
When the thing cam into sight it was as though she was looking at a man with a tail and a really nasty looking mask on. The demon looked at her. "You are what he is searching for? What a waste, you look to be nothing more than a child. A weak one at that. Though...." he looked closer at her features. "Hmmm... a bit of his blood in you is it. Well then before they catch up shall we play?" the demon threw his cloak too the ground. It was whereing breeches and a tunic and seemed to be ful of daggers they were everywere. he also had a long sword. Which he pulled from its sheath.
Basilisk advanced on her sword in a defence position. Strong but lazy. As though he did not think she could weld her scimitars well. She smiled to herself at this arragent posture. He will regret this. As he moved the sword for a straight across slash she went into a roll ducking under the sword bringing he scimitars up inside of the mighty swords range. It wipped his tail right up into her face. Ice blocked it with a flurry of blades. Its sword mached her, testing her.
Suddenly he came on with his own strikes both with tail and long sword. Ice managed to keep out of there range and deliver a few blows of her own. Blow after blow rang through the air neither willing to let the other win.
There movments were slowing after what felt like hours. Missed a block and the blade cut deep in her side, nearly on top on her other wound. through the pain she saw athe tail come out from behind him. It slamed her into a tree. Ice heard the crack of a rib as she hit. She sat there gasping for breath as the demon came up to her sword under her chin making her lift her face. right before she looked up she dung deep into her magic feeling for fire. As she looked up as let it all loose.
The last thing the demon saw was the face of death staring him down. Fire burning in her eyes. The demon let out a scream as it went up into flames. The affect was instentanous. Two seconds and all that was let was ash which floated away on the soft wind.
Iceshadow sat there comsumed in pain. She though she heard the sound of sword clashing in the distance. Ice moved in pain for she new she had too get away before the orcs came. Ice got about half a kilometer away before she collapsed in a combination of, blood lose and exastion. She pushed herself near to a tree trunk and sat there.
Right before she surrendered to the darkness from no choice of her own, she thought she heard foot steps. Then in front of her eyes she saw the face of some one familiar. She thought she saw the face of her Sensei. The elvan features stood out clearly. The long blond hair had fallen out of the hood of the cloak. What? Her mind swam. How can this be possible? Then the blackness comsumed her.
