Forest
attack
She was sitting quietly by the stream when she felt a shif in the forest around her. Everything had gone suddenly quiet. Ice sighed. "Damn, oh well." She stood silently and looked into the trees. Ice grabbed one branch and pulled herself up. Then stood while she pulled her bow out and nocked and arrow. She sat waiting, wondering which demon had been sent this time. She sniffed the air around and felt the small vibrations in the land. Huh? Why would he send orcs?A moment later she realized how many there were. "Damn." She sat very quietly masking her presence with a little magic.
Ice smelt the orcs long before they came into view. She fired arrow after arrow at there large squadren before they realized where she was and had started to mass in her direction. There ranks were down from 40 to 32 before they found her. Before they had got close enough to do any thing she had wittled there ranks down another 10.
Ice place her bow on her back. Then dropping from the tree she called her wings. They seemed to be made of fire. They looked kind of like a birds but with scales and feathers. Even as she dropped she drew her scimitars, the one with the phoenix on it glowed like fire, the other with the dragon glowed like flowing water as she used her magic to take out another 10.
She was on close enough to slash in less than 2 seconds. Her wings disapeared as she touched down. Ice did not want to harm any treesor amimals by fire. Once in the middle of the 12 orcs left she looked like a whrilwind of flashing steel. In the intital attack she killed 5. Ice swept up in the fury of the fight did not notice the small cuts she collected. She took out another 6. Then she was only facing one.
This orc was different it seemed smarter and faster. The fight seemed to go on for hours. Ice had taken more cuts but the orc more. One slash and he was down his head lopped off in one cut the it had failed to block.
Ice stood there for a moment gasping for breath. Ice walked through the woods to come to a clean spot under a tree. A light drizzel started. She sank down into the low grass. There was a gash along her ribs and it was bleeding badly. There were a number of smaller ones as well and one on her right shoulder hurt like hell. She dressed her wounds as well as she could before slowly walking away through the forest. The rain dripping down among the branches.
