So it's a wonderful period known as summer. Great weather (if it's not scorching), free time, and chillaxin'.

So I've been trying to proceed forward in life. Currently looking for a job. Not willing to go back to my old one, not after how they just kind of dropped me. confused I mean, yeah I'll accept being fired if I was told directly that what was happened but y'know if you leave me hanging for the space of, what, a month? Not giving me hours and not telling me I'm fired? Not cool.

But whatever, that's old news.

So I didn't really want to look for a job before Anime Expo, namely because if I happened to get one I would doubt I would've gotten the weekend off and the other days off.

The Quizno's in the mall near where I live is currently hiring like mad so I'm about to head out and check them out as soon as I'm done with this. A friend of mine was recently hired there and said they're still accepting people, so let's see.

And then there's college. I ran into a bit of a snag with that. See, I did this pre-graduation program while I was still at school that basically walked me straight into the community college I was going to attend. It got all the minor details like placement tests and actually registering to be a student out of the way. It also was supposed to let me do orientation and registration for classes early.

So I'm waiting to get something in the mail, like a permit or whatnot, that tells me the date and time for my orientation. And it doesn't come. So I'm talking to a friend of mine as she just did her orientation and I'm asking questions trying to get things squared away. I figure I can re-schedule my orientation and whatnot.

I call the school and go through some stuff ("Hello? Sorry, system's down. Call tomorrow." wink when I'm finally able to set up an orientation appointment.

So I'm listening to dates and I notice somethings off. So I ask the lady on the other side of the phone if she can repeat what she just said.

She said the next open appointment was August 14th.

By this time I'm all confused trying to figure out what the heck is wrong. And they said that's when I can re-schedule my orientation. I'm confused and basically resign the whole thing, upset but willing to take that date. So I'm at home later when my dad comes home and I tell him what happened. He told me that something came in the mail for me a while ago with a date on it for my orientation but he thinks he threw it away.

Thanks dad. Really.

So I call back the next day, tell them I had a previous appointment and basically figured out that Counseling isn't the committee that organized my particular orientation. It was a different group on campus. I ask if I can get redirected to that particular extension and am able to get the whole thing re-scheduled and taken care of.

Kind of a long and annoying process but whatever.

Been taking a religious college class Tuesday nights. Really fun as I was able to go with my brother a few times before he left so I knew some people there besides the group I went with. It's always fun, especially afterwards when we all head out to In-N-Out and chill for an hour and have fun. Then afterwards when we sometimes go to a friend's house and play games and mess around.

Saw Harry Potter last week. Really good. I'm probably going to see it this Friday again in 3-D. eek Heard it was awesome but we'll see.

My brother is doing fine. He says it's cold down there because he's on the other side of the equator so they're in the middle of winter. He's also allowed anything Disney, like Disney CD's and movies.

Pretty funny thing: he found a loop-hole (or rather, a hole in general) in the rule. It's anything Disney. ANYTHING Disney. So you know what he asks me to send him one week?

He asks me to send him clips of Kingdom Hearts.

And the whole time I'm laughing because in all technicality he can watch them. Worse comes to worse he'll be told to stop and an extension of the rule can be made. So I sent him some clips of Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix + since he hasn't seen any. And him and his friends were all happy. Good stuff.

I'm turning 18 in two (2) days. Fun stuff. domokun We'll see if anything fun happens.
