Todays events!
Well today as you we're quite correctly informed in my previous entry Keri and I ventured into town to buy Paul a birthday gift. The weather today wasn't bad so I think whoever controls it took a peek at my journal last night and saw my comment about not being impressed with rain...anyhoo. It was a fun five and a half hours or so and we managed to get him something we think (and hope) he'll like. I wont tell you what it is until after Friday because you never know he could be internet stalking me and read this!
I think in this paragraph, as in this one your reading, I'll give mention to something Keri said I should mention. We were perusing books in Waterstones, as is my favorite thing and yes I pulled out one book and managed to send roughly about four or five others leaping merrily across the shop floor. Yes I am somewhat silly....moving on.
Harry Potter
*Warning: Spoilers May follow*
Well I've just come back from the cinema, having gone to see Harry Potter and the Order Of the Phoenix. If I'm completely honest once again I went with expectations far to high of what the movie would be like. Don't get me wrong its an excellent movie and manages to be quite funny in parts but there were so many things I wanted to see but couldn't.
For example, and this really confused me but perhaps I blacked out for a few scenes, we see Neville holding the Mimbulus Mimbletonia but not once is it mentioned! Whaa? Lets make this poor actor whom everyone already assumes to be thicker than a dilapidated camel (I've no idea what the connection or relevance of that is but kindly excuse it and add your own) hold a plant for some scenes but never allow him to elaborate as to why or what the thing is!
I also don't get why Luna was feeding the Thestrals! I know she can see them and all and they couldn't stick to the written story exactly but argh! I also wished there'd been Sirius's mother's portrait featured I've always wondered what that screaming mad womans like. I image her to be a darker version of the fat lady but anyway.
Overall great movie, bit fast but good.
