...Ma Vie...
Jeudi le Trois Janvier 2008
I think the only way I could possibly start this entry is by saying Happy New Year Everybody! 2008 is finally upon us and I for one could not be happier. For the most part 2007 wasn't a particularly amazing year what with this that and the other towards the end of the year (all thankfully now passed). To be fair there were moments though, starting University being the most obvious. I honestly expected everyone to hate me on sight and have to sit alone in lectures and so forth! But thats thankfully not quite the case I'm met tons of amazingly friendly and hilarious people and love the course itself (which is always a bonus I suppose).

So people who do actually get round to reading this, excluding myself and the one other randomer who has casually come across it looking for something incredibly exciting to read, will have noticed that since October (The 21st to be precise when I posted my last very pointless entry) my activity in this little section and indeed Gaia as a whole has been somewhat less than it used to due to the craziness of that intense season you Merry people call "Christmas" and that I call "Fat-cat profit day" alongside assignments, personal crisis and that rather tedious week in which the computer decided to catch a virus and commit suicide moments before I managed to save and print my task report. You can imagine the expletives and kicks inflicted on the useless piece of crap. Thankfully, due to Dad's resourcefulness and a family of computer wiz's I was back pretty quickly.

I'd never realised before now how easy I used to find jabbering away on here, I'm definitely out of practice. And no I wont do what your expecting and swear a solemn oath to update every minute detail of my day everyday without fail because I wont and apologising for not doing so in every entry is pretty lame.

Right now I don't think I could be any happier and that's not just due to the fact that they de-Christmassed the house yesterday or that I don't have anything worthwhile to do until the end of the month. I've noticed that most people are or have figured out their resolutions for 2008. I usually never bother and in the years that I have I've always made seriously stupid ones like saying I'll give up oxygen or something. But I figure as it's a new year and all and so much change has happened recently I may as well see what I can come up with.

Lee's list of Resolutions to be broken and abused at will

Un: Quit wasting money on crap I know deep down inside I don't need. Including items which can be classed as too nice to not buy.
Deux: Stop being so completely paranoid about life
Trois: Put money aside for my trip with mi amigos
Quatre: Actually start learning to drive
Cinq: Start doing healthier things like tennis or something (When it gets warmer! I'd like to stress that I shall do nothing outdoorsy in the cold!)
Six: Get back into photography
Sept: Quit avoiding the history books I know I should be reading in favour of books completely unrelated on the subject
Huit: Plan ahead for birthdays so as to avoid stressful hair tearing moments the Saturday before the day
Neuf: Get more focused on learning French
Dix: Figure out and do something completely out of character

Okay so theres some things I'll try but fail successfully at achieving. A lot of them are things I would seriously like to kick my butt into action and get doing though, especially the hobbies and interests I've abandoned over the past few months.

I think this should be sufficient enough for now so I'll quit eating days out of your life and let you move on to reading the journals of interesting people who do interesting things like pilot a space shuttle and such.

Thanks for reading it really does warm my little tin chest when I see more than myself has read this thing and please don't be shy to comment it might just make my day

=D

Adieu

You were right, it was a lot to read this time.

My eyes have gone all funny because you made the word size so small that I can't even read it with my glasses on. So I have spent some time trying to read something that should only took a few minutes of my life.

But apart from the fact that the writing is small it was an interesting read.

Happy ( late ) new year!
