Tashi and I totally kicked a** playing in the pool tournament. whee During the practice round, I was a little off because it's been a few weeks since I last played pool with my friend. After about ten minutes, I started getting my groove back. I sunk a few balls here and there, but good thing Tashi was there to save my butt (and he said that he'll be relying on me to win this tournament rolleyes ). We made it past Round 1 because Terry and Holly cheated; they put back two of our sunk balls on that table when we weren't looking xd )
Round 2 was againt Matt and Rieanne. Things weren't looking too bright for me and Tashi at the beginning. Matt was actually better than he told me. But halfway through, things turned around and we started to own them. My game got better as we progressed.
We advanced into Round 3 against Camille and Mark. We totally got hung out to dry during this round. Tashi said that we'll need a miracle to come back to win. Finally at the end, Mark sunk the 8-ball, but also sunk the cue ball. Soooo... Tashi and I won! xd We are the champions of the LM Section! whee
Man o man, I was on a roll. As we were waiting for our opponents to begin the third round, both my bosses (who are like billiard pros) wanted to play against me and Tashi to kill the time. I made some preeeetty sweet plays; so sweet that my supervisor was imtimidated whee .
After the tournament was over, I teamed up with Terry to play against our bosses. We lost to them. Then I played one-on-one with Matt. It was a close game, but he lost because he scratched while sinking the 8-ball. Then my supervisor wanted to play me. I almost won against him because he made so many mistakes. And finally, I played Matt one more time, but we never got to finish because our rides were leaving. All in all, it was so fun. I told most co-workers that I'm able to play pool, but I'm not that good. My supervisor totally underestimated me and many of them were surprised that I knew how to hold the cue like a pro and that I also knew how to set up the balls. Really... it's not that hard.
