OMG OMG OMG! I am getting a Wii for my birthday! eek whee whee
Two weeks ago, I bought the entire series of Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond DVD boxsets for my brother. They were on sale because The Dark Knight was going to be released in theatres a week later. Buying all those boxsets put me back $200. So I kept bugging my brother in emails, explaining to him that I need some spending money when I go on vacation. You know, just trying to drop the hint and playing around because I know that I wont be able to get the $200 before I leave.
Then in an email yesterday, I asked him what he's getting me for my birthday. I was joking around and told him to buy me a Wii along with some games.
Meanwhile, at work, I was talking to Tashi about how I've been thinking of buying a Wii, but they're always sold out. Last night, I expressed the same disappoint to my friend when we started talking about video games and the Wii.
This morning, I checked my email; my brother replied and informed me that over the weekend, he went to Wal-mart to buy a Wii for me. As he was paying for it, some guy asked about the Wii and the store clerk told him that they're all sold out. He said that I'm lucky he was able to buy the last one there.
I was in utter shock and had to re-read his email to ensure I didn't mis-read what he had typed. He even attached a picture of the Wii next to his TV. I am just through the roof! This is so awesome! whee However, I wont be able to play with it until I get back from vacation at the end of August. But oh well, I still have a Wii! heart
