Gaia is full of people I didn't know were on here! Both of my sisters, of course (one due to me), but then my friends James and Tabitha, Maureen, and now I've learned my ex-boyfriend, Josh, is on here. It's kind of cool. I'm just waiting to see who else will pop up! I wish Philip and Patrick would use their old accounts though.
Anyway...
I didn't go in to work today. My stomach has just been feeling icky all day and my headache won't completely go away. I succeeded in doing more by not going though, like spending over $100.00 at the mall, and then even more at David's Bridal. I purchased our toasting glasses today. They're adorable. I also picked up the matching Unity Candle holder set.
Went in for my first fitting for my wedding gown and we decided to get the gown pressed and I think she is doing something with the Bustle... We're going with the American Style Bustle versus the French. It's just more flattering for the gown. That cost a good $55.00. We also picked up bras for my sisters, shoes for Kim, and ordered the dresses for both. And we're still not done. We need shoes for Erin, and Phil's mom is covering the dresses, shoes, and possibly bras for Carol and Emily... And we still need more decorations, have to pay for the Chapel and reception area, the cakes, the jewelry (for the girls, I'll probably be wearing Phil's grandmother's pearls, and for travel the necklace my Grandma gave me), hair, make-up, and nail appointments, the photographer, food, extra guests at the rehearsal dinner, hotel rooms for some out of town guests... And just a crapload more.
Boy, this is getting expensive! I feel a tad sad at out much money we have put out thus far (a little over one thousand or so, I think) and we still have a long ways to go!
Ah, oh well.
It's worth it so long as he likes everything.
I really wish I could give him his dream wedding, but it would just cost too much...
Then again, so would mine, so I'm just trying to wing a combination of the two at minimal cost.
Just so long as I get that small jaw drop...
That will make it all worth it. heart
