When she saw Lucy running off, Scarlett crossed her arms over her chest, shrugging. "Sucks doesn't it Ollie? Now you know how I felt." However just as she was to turn to leave and walk off, she was startled when he heard her scream. It was loud enough to make her heart pound faster in her chest but not loud enough to cause any attraction from anyone at the bonfire. Slowly, she turned around and looked at him, a little afraid for what he'd do. When she got a good look at him, she could see just how angry he was and she had never seen anger like that, especially from him. Swallowing hard, she stepped back. "Ollie..." As he explained his saga to her, explaining all that had happened in the past year, instant guilt came over her. Yes, she did still resent him for turning his back on her when she needed him the most but what she did was no better. She stooped down to old Ollie's level. It astonished her that she was even capable of such evil and treachery, similar to her cousin's. She was never this evil person. She wasn't that cheerleader who looked down upon everyone else or actually really bought into the whole high school monarchy thing. Life used to be wonderful. Maybe if she never did make captain of the cheer squad, things would have been better and she wouldn't be this crazy person she was. But knowing what he went through--granted it wasn't anything close to her problem but it did make her realize that he wasn't perfect like she thought he was. He had problems. Every human did at some point in their life. They both were there for a reason and she just killed his new dream. Because she knew her cousin well enough, knew the kind of guy he always could have been, the kind of guy he wanted to be now, she knew when he was being sincere, because even deep down under all that male bravado from high school, the cousin she grew up with was still there, just clouded by a bigger evil. Perhaps it did leave him.

Then he left. "Ollie wait--" She started but he was already gone. She put her hands on her face and shook her head. "What have I done?" She murmured to herself, shaking her head repeatedly as she walked back to the bonfire, slowly, but made it there eventually. Her mind was somewhere else, she had been muttering incoherently to herself the entire time and sat herself down in the sand, near the water. Her feet slipped out of her flip flops, her toes digging into the wet sand as the tide would come over to her feet here and there. Her eyes stared out upon the horizon, seeing the reflection of the moon in the water. There she'd wait, hoping and praying that Ollie worked it out with her. She felt so bad. He had a point; she didn't have to drag her into it, that poor girl. If she really wanted to get back at Ollie, she would have talked it out with him, but not in front of that girl. Scar had no right to end something that was probably so good for him. If that girl really did change him, he had to get her back. If his plans didn't work, there had to be something she could do, if need be. Though given she was more destruction than anything else, it probably wouldn't do anything if she tried to fix it up.

The warm wind blew over her, blowing her hair out of her face. She had this hankering to escape, to rid her problems. It wasn't suicide. It was just an altered reality. Her eyes closed and for a moment, she felt like she was home, in the world that colored her fancy so brightly. The world that made her who she was, the world that she believed was even real than reality itself. Opening her eyes slowly, everything looked so Technicolor. She swore she was seeing different things than there were. Looking behind her, she saw the bonfire, but what she was seeing was different than reality in the slightest bit. It was like she was on something but in all actuality, she wasn't. She was simply delusional, actually believing what was so make believe. Slowly, she stood up, a crooked smile appearing on her face as she stripped her clothes, all the way down to her bra and panties. It was then she began to run into the water, not caring she was in her knickers. She was in a whole other world and it felt so amazing. She hadn't had one of these sessions in a long while but she missed it, oh did she miss it.

As she waded in deeper into the waded in deeper into the water, she then dove right on in, deep into it and let her body float in the water. Oh what a rush, to stay there underwater, her breath coming to an end as the world moved so fast around her. In there, she felt the world was her oyster and time had stopped. When she needed more air though, she kicked herself back into reality, swimming up to the surface as fast she could for she went a little too deep in the water, as far as depth went. When she broke through to the surface, she let out a loud gasp of air, and panted hard, her body coming down into the water to her chest and head, allowing her to regain her breath. No, no more. She hurried over to the shore and crawled out of the water, moving towards her clothes and then just collapsed on her back. She was still breathing hard, the very thought of almost drowning frightening her so.

"Stupid Scar, stupid, stupid, stupid." She muttered to herself. "You could have died. You could have just ceased to exist right there and you know what? No one would have ever known..." the thought haunted her, scared her even. If she were to die one day and not by her own doing but a natural death that just occurred, would anyone remember her? Would anyone care? Would anyone find her? Would they even know?

I'm a cheerleader, but I remain eccentric and delusional.
