Finally.
The new rainbow anthem
Made by everyday people in glass houses,
gingerly building more beautiful weapons.
Forget about a man the drugs will never cure of
An airborne disease most commonly carried
In mockingbird crosswinds.

And endlessly, whithered hands write backwards letters,
To addresses unknown,
And wear pencils to nubs, while tuned in,
Through wires imbedded in brains,
Learning new facts about a superstar's addiction,
To horrors worse than methamphetamines.

A migraine donor is giving hope that
Caffeine is just heroin without the flying,
Like being in an unawakened state,
While blindfolded, the black lambs will visit you,
And every one you count will set the clocks forward
Twelve minutes..

Sadly, it's already spread to the streets,
And on every kiosk,
A red-papered poster advertises the Cirque du whatever,
free to those willing to provide original words,
Since all the encyclopedias became blank,
And in a massacre of text,
Every book containing revolutionary ideas
Was as good as dead.

And...
I wanted change
So I shoved a fork in the electric socket,
The whole city went dark,
At least...
It was dark to me.
