So, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. We used to go to my aunt and uncle's house growing up most years. Then pandemic hit and everyone went their separate ways, both personally and political. It's sad that no one in my family communicates any more, because we might have different political views.
Then we started a tradition of going to a friend's house. We didn't go this year because of communication issues again. mom decided to ask her friend to do illustrations for a book and the friend couldn't make the deadline. so there's like sour grapes with them now. Never work with friends if you can't seem to talk things through even if it doesn't work out.
Anywho, so tomorrow it's just my parents and myself. But earlier this week I learned never to travel during holiday week. I had to pick my mom up from the airport on Tuesday night, in the rain. Bumper to bumper traffic for like forever. At the airport seemed worse because people were picking people up etc. Lights made it worse to see where you are.
It usually takes 25 minutes to get there but it took 45. and 45 minutes home.
Not sure what I am planning to do tomorrow on Thanksgiving. I'm not big of a parade watcher. I was disappointed that I missed the testing day this year because I drove my parents to the airport. Oh well. Dad's cooking the turkey. so at least there's turkey.
