Making a mage outfit was harder than I thought it would be. =O I managed a couple though!
I've done lots of magey outfits previously, but I tried to go with something different from what I had done before. I also really loved the celestial wrap cape when it came out, so I tried to use it. xD; I liked the second effort better than the first, but unfortunately I think it didn't quite work because Kava's eyes didn't match.
I'm unwilling to delete/recreate her avatar to make an outfit though. xD; It has to go with her as she is, or I fail.Apparently... I fail? xp

Rayinte, the Pyromancer Maybe I'm swayed by having read the Elemental Masters books by Mercedes Lackey recently, but... &3 for elemental fire mage.

Kava, the Lunar Mage Annnd... my final all-out version. And yes, I did try out the ocula thing with it, but it didn't improve it.
Since I only had three participants this time... and it took me sooooo long to get it updated... I'm going to give letters to ALL of them! Uh huh. Yep. See, the rest of you missed out. ;p *chuckles*

I'll try to update in a week this time, but I'm making no guarantees. Fanime is just about a month away at this point, and since I'm convention staff, especially for Fanime, con time is really busy for me.
ALSO! There'll be an extra prize this round for the first person to accurately guess what the fundmental change is that I made to my avatar this morning.
(Xya's not allowed to guess. xD) heart (Mr.Spooty wins this prize!)A tip for those who'd like to try: Pick a theme and run with it. Your theme can be anything from trying to look like a certain musician you know of from anime/video games/etc.. to simply a particular color or style. The idea is to come up with a cool looking outfit that looks 'musical' AND fits your stated theme! And most of all, HAVE FUN! Be sure to tell me what your theme was when you show me your musical outfit, or I'll end up guessing! xD;
<--- I had "Swan Lake" stuck in my head while creating this avatar. The moon is fairly symbolic in it, and I tried for something elegant with good color balance...
