I briefly looked at Jakobo's update to his journal this morning before I left the house for work and noted the two new prompts. I'm not ready to write about either of those right now... I haven't yet smiled today, and the other subject will take me a while to write about.
Still, it got me to thinking this morning about positive and negative thinking. Since I haven't yet smiled this morning, I've been considering mental positives that I generally will use to try and encourage myself to be in a positive state of mind. I figured I'd share some of mine... feel free to share some of yours too!

You can't ever be perfect, but that doesn't mean you can't be good enough. Do your best and you will often be surprised at the results.

Have faith in the people you love to know that you love them, even when you think you're failing to show it. They love you too.

I will not cry. I'm alright. I will not cry. There -are- people who care about me. I will not cry. There's a beautiful sun and a lovely breeze and if I can keep these tears from falling maybe I can appreciate them.
>_@ I think I'm somewhat failing on the positive front here. I'm trying! So what are -your- positive mental mantras?

OKay, yeah, that last one might not seem to be positive, but to me, in an obscure way, it is.
