World History
In the beginning the world was nothing. It was empty, without hate or love, without power or weakness, without thought or ignorance.. It was without gods or mortals. These facts changed, though, on the day that a light shown through the nothing. With this light the shadows were created.
The dance amongst the shadows and the light soon spawned life, and more specifically the magical 'sprites' of earth, wind, fire, and water. These interplaying sources of light and darkness grew these four elements and allowed for the basic allotments of the universe to begin to take shape. Earth made the valleys, mountains, and the base level of all existence. Wind chiseled the valleys, mountains, and the world to allow for the oncoming life of Fire and Water.
Water filled the larger valleys of the Earth, and Fire created the warmth of the world. Within moments life sprung from the ground and sentient beings began to traverse the world created by the elements. Time passed and the four sprites left the upper shells of the world to remain forever in the lower caverns of the world. With their exodus from the world light and shadow covered the world.
No longer did the sprites govern the planet that they had created together. Beings, like humans, began to solidify their power over the world and grew in strength. Along with the humans elves, dwarfs, and other creatures began to develop. As they developed, though, the sprites peeked glimpses at their growing creations. They soon found that their children had been able to tap into their elements and had found the ability to tap into the natural orders of the world.
These new powers were abused. Humans, elves, and other creatures destroyed whole islands and kingdoms with this new power (which they christened 'magic'). Frightened by these developments the four elemental sprites set forth to create a set of powerful beings that would balance their destruction bound children.
The sprites created what are now known as 'the gods'. Firstly they created Analist, the prime god, who was the king of all the gods. Secondly they created Analist's brothers, Solis and Bromilis. These two gods were the gods of the sun and Moon, respectively. They also created a whole pantheon of gods beneath these three beings- all of whom served a purpose in balancing the world.
Millenniums passed. The gods did their job, mostly, and made it so that the sprite's children never destroyed themselves with their magics. However, war still was rampant in the world. Don'Garon, or 'the World of the Four Sprites' translated from the old tongue, is a war torn place where kingdoms struggle to stay strong against their mass of opponents. Endless wars are fought over land and ideals. Each death echoes with the spirit of vengeance, and bores another soul aiming to deal pain to their loved one's aggressors. A cycle of pain and death has consumed this world.
This cycle of pain and suffering does not seem to be failing, or slowing. As a matter of fact.. It seems to be increasing exponentially. Death is rampant and rising factions amongst the world's kingdoms bring more disorder. There is no doubt amongst the people of the kingdoms that there is a foreboding episode about to fall upon their world. Stability is uncertain. Life is uncertain. The future is uncertain. What is certain, though, is the pain and suffering of the world.
And I've Joined Another Roleplay...
Another Bleach RP. Here's my new character: heart
Name: Imohem
Age: 64 [Looks to be 30-ish]
Sex: Male
Class: Shinigami [Rank Pending]
Weapons:
- Arise, Fearless Ancient Turtle! ['Koushin, Futeki Furuikame!']:
Imohem's zanpakutou, Furuikame, in its regular is shaped like any other zanpakutou. Its length is a regular length and it possesses a regular cylindrical hilt. The sword, however, has a green-black weaving pattern on its hilt, making it look different compared to the several hundred other zanpakutous in Soul Society.
In order to be called into its initial release, Imohem has to recite the phrase "Arise, Fear Ancient Tutle" [Or, in Japanese, "Koushin, Futeki Furuikame"]. In this form the sword morphs into a spiked shield that can be used both for defence and offence. The shikai makes a 'kite' shape stretching from Imohem's right shoulder to his knees. This shield looks alot like a turtle's shell and possesses numerous sharp spikes poking from its scaled outer layer.
- Shikai Abilities:
Ten Thousand Year Fang! ['Yorozu Toshi Kiba!']: A massive barrage of spikes explode from Furuikame and are sent toward where the shield's defending side is pointed at.
Gunpowder Breath! ['Kayaku Iki']: Fearsome blasts of fire blast out from the zanpakutou's initial release. Huge and constant explosions of reiatsu/fire spurn out of the green shield to destroy anything that the shield is pointed at. Very powerful.
The Turtle's Violent Shell ['Kamehageshii-sheru']: By pressing his reiatsu into the shield-shikai, Imohem can cause the spikes on his shield to grow to ten times their original size. It causes the weight of his shikai to rise, but it increases both the defending strength of the shield and increases "Ten Thousand Year Fang's" damage.
Call Upon The Dragon's Wrath! ['Kame Doki-reizu']:
Bankais, as they go, are rare. The bankai of a shinigami is normally the pure manifestation of the user's mind and soul. Imohem's bankai is no different- but is an even rarer form. With his bankai Imohem is able to call upon the reiatsu around him (from animals, his opponents, himself, ect) to form small compact balls of pure reiatsu.
With such high density reiatsu these balls are insanely unstable. Even though these balls normally have the diameter of six feet, and seem to be fairly stable, one poke would cause an explosion powerful enough to level a city block. What's even more horrifying about this bankai, though, would be that Imohem can shape these balls into whatever he desires. Weapons, walls, buildings, every day items.. He can even shape them into little soldiers. These powerful and unstable reiatsu 'clay balls' are quite versatile, bluntly enough.
Note: Imohem is immune to the effects of his own bankai.. Since it's hist bankai and he controls its energy.
Bio: Young Imohem grew up in Ireland. Specifically he lived on a small island off the short of Ireland's southern shore. His parents moved there when they were trying to avoid the police, whom had the proof to send them both (Imohem's parents) to prison.
Imohem's parents were smugglers. More specifically they were drug smugglers. Each year they smuggled drugs from Ireland to Canada, which was then transfered to the USA, in a massive well co-ordinated drug ring. They were making boatloads of money from doing this and were making quite a profit till one of their workers told the police about the operation.
So the small family was forced into hiding. They fled to a small island south of Ireland where they could live in peace and far away from the police's searches.
Since his parents continually ignored him, due to their addictions and bad parenting skills, the young child resorted to fantasy to get his attention. He dreamt up of valiant knights and wandering heroes whom would save fair maidens.. Story book stuff. He constantly played alone, by himself, while his parents were off on the other parts of the island doing their thing.
Soon enough, after eight years of being on that island, the police found Imohem's family members. Both of them were shot and Imohem was taken into child custody. He was sent to a nice home and was actually happy for the first time in his life. At least till he began to see ghosts and strange black creatures who had holes in their chests.
Frightened by these things he crawled back into his room. He delved into fantasy games, video games, writing, and every other reclusive thing he could do inside his room. He rarely left his room for anything and he eventually went insane. The teenager (age 15) was put into an insanity ward in London where he was constantly harassed by the spirits that had committed suicide in the ward.
After five years of torment, pills, and other episodes he was visited by his parents. They had turned into black creatures with holes in their chests and were seeking to make their son join them. Inside the padded room that Imohem had inhabited for the past five years he tried to fight back against the hollows. He dodged, parried, and fought back against the black demons attempting to kill him.
Eventually the doctors came into the room to settle the man down. They stuck sedatives into his arms and forced Imohem into a deep sleep. While they did this Imohem's parents watched, waiting for their chance to kill their child. Fate smiled on Imohem, though, and a robed warrior entered the scene. A powerful looking man entered the room and hacked the parents into small pieces- and glanced at the now sleeping man.
He had escaped death that day. But it wouldn't be the last day he would be faced with the powers of spirits. Four years after his parents were killed (for the second time) he was attacked by a large pig-esque hollow. It trampled on him and smashed him into several hundred pieces. Before it could swallow the man the hollow was slain by a passing shinigami.
Imohem appeared in Soul Society and was shipped off to the West 46th Section of the city, where most of the middle class souls lived. He eventually applied to become a shinigami after seeing that they were the ones who saved him in his life in the real world. Imohem sought to become a hero in shining armour for other people, and tried every day in his classes to surpass the knights in his dreams and to surpass the monsters in his nightmares.
After two years of constant hardship he was allowed to join the Gotei 13, where he was thrown in the _______ division. He has been training and doing missions ever since.
Appearance:
- Clothing:
Imohem wears the basic shinigami garb (black obi, black robe, white underlayer) with a few different additions to the outfit. He wears a thick green hemp sash around his body that wraps around his right shoulder down and around his lower left hip. This thick scarf wraps around him about four times and is extremely thick. The shinigami also wears black sneakers instead of the traditional pair of sandals. His zanpakutou, when it isn't being used, is in a sheath neatly slipped into his obi. Imohem also wears glasses, but prefers to keep them off to make himself look 'cooler'.
Physical Description:
The shinigami is of regular girth. He isn't overweight and nor is he underweight. Imohem isn't overtly buff, like certain shinigami, or has any smashingly apparent physical appearances. He is a small bit taller than six feet and weighs about 160 lbs. Don't let his size confuse you, though. Imohem sometimes wrestles one one one with hollows in small contests of strength to impress fair maidens- throwing any thoughts of him being 'weak bodied' out the window. Imohem has green eyes and brown hair. His hair is normally allowed to grow haphazardly and unkempt.
