Hey guys! Today at school for VDay, we had a dance...
That was SOOOOOOOO FUN! Me, Lili, Maribel, and like a lot of other people we're danceing until we almost passed out! Right after school I changed into my pink outfit, and headed over to the cafeteria. When I got there, they took my ticket, and checked my name off of the list. I sat down next to Khadijah, Evelyn, and Linda. We all sathere and complained about all of the 5thand 6th graders acting all cool just because they got lucky enough to go to the dance just because the school didn't have enough money from the 7th graders. Finally the music started, no one was dancing so I just stood around. Then Mr. cowin made us dance. They turned off all the lights and put the colorful lighting from disco like lights. The lights shined on all of the sparkley dresses and all of the shining shoes. All of the kids stood in the middle of the cafeteria and waited around for the DJ to start the music. He started up the beat, and then he played Usher! All the girls started screamin "AWWWWWWE YEEA! THATS MA JAM!" We all started dancing and rockin out to all the songs. From the second song to about the 10th, I danced, but then a stupid slow song. >< so I stood by the doors where the air conditioner was, and then went with Jasmine, Linda, and Layla to the bathrooms. We got back inside and the slow song just ended, then another great song was playing. While I was gettin on my groove Kelley came upto me and started saying hi over and over. I got done dancing and asked Kelley what she wanted, no one wanted to dance with her so she just hung out with all of us. The next song was by Chris Brown, we ALL got dancing then! Me and Evelyn were gettin low! We competed against eachother on who could go down lowest, guess wh won? Oh YEA me baby! But me knees were hurting. Lol. So I stopped for a minute and got some punch. Then Lili grabbed me and pulled me back in, we danced to every song. I was getting really slow, and my head was thumping. But I had to dance...know why? THE MERANGE!!! (I don't know if that's how you spell it but okay..) So me and all of the spanish girls started shakin our hips andmovin to the beat. Then..speakin of hips, Shakira came on, we REALLY started dancing. Joshua was all "Dang, Shelbi. You can dance?" (I cleaned that up a lot. he cusses all the time.) I was like "YEEA! WHY? THERE A PROBLEM WI DAT?" (I had to scream because no one could hear me in that music.) And he walked away and tried to dance with Jazzee and what's her name...I can't remember. >< But then we we're getting to the end, the songs got less good. Even though my chemical romance came on! I was singing to that and everyone looked at me like...dude. Lol. So then about ten minutes to the end I was soooo tired, I sat down and waited for me to catch my breath. The next song was really kewl. And I danced again. Then, three minutes from the end of the dance the DJ took the mic and told us, "OKAY, so everyone I hoped you had a great time all of you guys! You we're great. But we're about three minutes away from the end so this is gonna be our last dace." He went through his CD's and put on a slow dance. Everyone started pouring out of the room. I took a last glance at the room and gathered my things. Then I told my friends I was going home. So I stood at the door and took a look at the almost empty room, then I left outside to the front of the school. I was walking to thr car, and I cought myself thinking, "that was the best, and probably thre last dance I will get to have here at my school...I'm glad I charished it, and had a great time."
That's what happend on my Valentines Day.
