Today, my package for the United States Naval Academy (USNA) was turned down, followed by the turn down of my USNA Prepatory School package, and to top it all off, the turn down of my NROTC package.
I personaly view this as I suck, am obviously stupid, and that I am going to be stuck in the enlisted ranks forever. That wouldn't be so bad, don't get me wrong, enlisted people are great... some of them, but it is not what I wan't. However, I am told to look at it from the perspective that:
1. My name is now out in "the loop"
2. I have got my foot in the door, and now I will be looked at as being "serious" NEXT time.
3. That it is a good learning experiance, and now I know what to do, and what no to do.
Still hurts, and I still feel like s**t. ((If anyone reports the fact that I said s**t in MY journal, then you are just stupid.)) I just want to crawl into a hole and die.
Maybe I will have something nice to say tomorrow. I am going to go "drown my sorrows" now.
