Music. Something I once couldn't care less about. People would always ask me what my favorite kind of music was. I couldn't answer because I never really listened to music as a kid. I mean, I did, but it was always what was just on the radio while i was driven places, and even then, i hardly payed attention to it. I don't know what happened, but around the beginning of high school, something clicked, and I began finding music enjoyable.

Now, looking back, I find that music, in all forms, has had such a huge impact in my life. Songs inspire to me draw, to write, to animate. I sit and listen to a song, and imagine something right then and there, and if I like it, I just GOTTA do it. Music has helped me cope with feelings, depression, sadness, happiness. Just now I put on a song I haven't listened to for 3 years, because, despite it reminding me of how... different(for lack of a better word, mentally insane maybe) I was back then, it also made me think of how it helped me through that time.

It's a song I had listened to because I was sad. Knowing me and my love for who a person really is, instead of what they are, I underwent severe depression, knowing I couldn't be with someone(ever, for them being an imaginative character).

I don't know what drives me to enjoy the beat of rock(in all forms). I've become a "head banger" myself, hahaha. I can't describe the driving force to those actions of thrusting the bull horns skyward, music blaring and hair(although now cut) swooshing through the air. It's enjoyable music, and I DO enjoy the music. Lyrics, that's another thing.

I enjoy most music without singing. A lot of songs rhyme, and, ever since college english, i've grown to dislike things that rhyme(although many of my sucky poems do). Of course, there is a variety of songs I love that have singing, only because I can connect with, or because those songs touch me in a way. There are some songs that have singing I dislike, however have great music.

Music has, fortunately, become a huge part of my life, as I couldn't imagine any of my animations without it. Half of my animations are based, and created upon hearing certain songs. Hell, I was even motivated to make my movie trailer for the movie i will be working on, solely because of a song that I heard.



On a side note. Techno just sounds awesome, that is all.
