I cannot promise you the world,
For that is not mine to give.
I cannot promise you complete happiness,
Only you can make that happen.
I cannot promise you tomorrow,
Today is all that I know.
I cannot promise you the moon or the stars,
For they shine for everyone.
But I can promise you me,
For that is the only possession I have to give.
