Over the...eight years (Jeez, it's been such a long time!) that I've lived in my house, various small events have freaked me out, slightly. My worries are made slightly worse by ghost stories and paranoia.
We'll start with the most recent and continue on back in time.
Just a few minutes ago, I was sitting in my room at the end of the hall, playing on my computer, when there was this big crash at the other end of the hall. My dad called up the stairs to ask me what had happened and I didn't actually know until I got to the bathroom at the end of the hall. There's this picture hanging on the wall in there, and its hanger (which has been steady and undisturbed since forever) had suddenly given out, causing it to crash to the floor. Thankfully, nothing was broken, but we're left to wonder why the heck the darn thing fell!
Another occurence, which has happened a couple times, would be that I turn on a hall light upstairs, or just in the little 'foyer', and go upstairs or something. When I come back to the light, I turn it off and continue on my way. Now, one of the times this happened, I was thinking that somebody had just turned on the hall light again when I wasn't around. But the other time, I was getting ready to leave with my mom to go to her house, and we were turning off all the lights. Then my mom had to go get something or other and go put it in the car, and I had to grab my stuff so we could go. I did so and turned around, and the light in the 'foyer' was turned on! There was nobody to turn the freaking thing on.
Other problems include a couple small shelves falling off the walls, things falling over of their own accord, and random noises. I'm relatively sure my house isn't out to kill me, but those darned houses are so tricky. -A-;;
