Laying upon my bed
Starring at the wall
The pain swells up inside of me
The oncoming tears burn my eyes
The memories race in and out of my head
I let the tears flow freely
And let the memories drown me in silence
I sigh and sit up from my bed
And approach the window
Gazing at the new moon
It calms me and I hold my hands together
I close my eyes and think of you
And I know that i have the strength to carry on
