Holding On, but Letting Go
Holding on, but letting go
Right now, all I feel is low.
I loosen my grip
And I begin to slip.
But I grab hold again
And I pick up this pen.
I write my feelings down
As again, I begin to frown.
Why do I feel this way?
In this, why can't I have a say?
I can't let my feelings rule me
Because if I do, something different I will be.
This has become very confusing
And now I feel as if I'm losing.
I let a tear slide down my face
And I know that I am losing grace.
Holding on, but letting go
Right now, all I feel is low.
I loosen my grip
And I begin to slip.
But I grab hold again
And I pick up this pen.
I write my feelings down
As again, I begin to frown.
Why do I feel this way?
In this, why can't I have a say?
I can't let my feelings rule me
Because if I do, something different I will be.
This has become very confusing
And now I feel as if I'm losing.
I let a tear slide down my face
And I know that I am losing grace.
