Tears Like Rain
Silently a tear slips down my face
And then another as if in a race.
My eyes turn puffy
And my nose feels stuffy.
Before, I never would have let my pain
Run down my face like rain
But now it cannot seem to stop
As my heart seems to flop.
I hope that you never see
How much pain you have caused me.
For you would be horrified
And so I have lied
About my feelings now
But I will make it through somehow.
