One Gaian's Troubles [Part4]


It looked exactly like Durem Caves North! I squinted in and tried to shield myself from the harsh wind. "This is Durem! Since the storm is picking up speed, I can take you to my house and you can stay until it lessens up!" The wind drowned out most of my voice, but Nezumi caught the gist.
"Alright! Lead the way!" She slipped her hand into mine, and I gripped it; the cold was rapidly making it numb.
I started to trudge forward. I was extremely glad I wore my almost-cold-proof-but-not-quite clothes today. Too bad I had to cancel the rest of my plans for this afternoon. The snow was getting into my eyes, but I was pretty sure that the doorstep I stopped in front of was mine. I peered at it closer. Yep, this was definitely mine. Who else would stick a frozen, overlarge chocolate chip cookie on the door as decoration? Nobody, but the great and mighty Red! =^____^=
"E-er..." It was Nezumi, shivering. Oh yeah, I forgot to unlock the door while I was congragulating myself for my decorating talents. Oops.
"Hehe, sorry about that." I shoved the door open and slammed it shut as soon as we got inside. "Welcome to my home."
I lit up the lamps inside, and the light revealed every corner in my cozy little house. =3
"W-wow. Your house is so cute!" Nezumi got out of her shoes, showing me that she was barefoot. I had long taken my sneakers off, but I had thick socks on.
"Yesh, it is kewt, isn't it? Hey Nezumi, come over here and sit on the rug while I get a spare blanket." I directed her to the carpet in front of my bed...my, oh my, it was ever so warm!--as I rummaged around a small cabinet for the blankie. Aha! Here it is.
I handed over a blue cover to Nezumi, who promptly wrapped it around her feet. "Gee, thanks for her lettin' meh stay here." She grinned.
"'Twas no problem. I wouldn't let nobody freeze themselves to death out on this side of Gaia." I unsquashified meh beautiful toaster from the plastic bag and set on the kitchen counter.
If you haven't gussed already, I luuuuurve toasters!
I went over to Nezumi and bounced onto my bed. Ah! The bliss! I rolled over and peeped down at Nezumi. "You're sharing the bed wif meh tonight." Oooh, it's gonna be nice an' comfy in there...no, I'm not gonna do that nasty stuff to her. >>;; Shame on you for thinking 'bout naughty stuff. Blech.
