One Gaian's Troubles[Part5]
I crawled into the left side of my bed, the side nearest to the wall. I snuggled in, having took off my [glasses and] earrings and hat already. Nezumi and I had a nice dinner composed of healthy saltine crackers and orange juice before we decided to turn in. She snuggled up against me, and I could feel warmth radiating from her...we are sleeping in our clothes, of course. It's so darn cold out, that even my house can be penetrated by the chill sometimes, y'know.
I eventually drifted off to sleep...
A big, pink elephant with a sun hat was chasing me! Ack! Wait, why am I holding this toaster? Ooh! The elephant must be wanting it! Nuuuuu! I shall nevah part wif meh toaster! Nevah, y'all hear! Ne--
"Red! Wake up!" Eh? Someone was shaking me? I cracked open one sleepy and confused eyelid...yus, my eyelid can get confused too!--and peered up at Nezumi. Ah.
"What da ya wan'?" I sat up, sleep slurring my voice.
"There are aliens outside." She whispered, pointing to the window. "Apparently, they're examining your backyard."
"Meh?" I got up, shivering in the sudden change of temperature and went to the window. "Wow-zers!"
Nezumi came up beside me. "I believe we be needin' to do some spywork." She muttered.
A grin lit up my face. "I believe, we do, Nezumi."
We quickly shoved our feet into shoes and crept out the door. I took my trusty hammer with me, along with the toaster, in case that pink elephant wanted to snatch it away while I was out. >___<
As soon as Nezumi and I had made it to the back, we edged along the wall, hearing voices.
"OY!" We froze and turned to the voice. I bet the look on my face woulda been funny, if I wasn't scared out of my wits.
