Consumed
I live in a Dream,
An interminable Sleep.
Never Ending,
Spiraling downward in my Mind.
Only returning to reality to catch a glimpse of Life,
Plunging back into the waves of my Thoughts.

Here I live in my made-up World,
The world where all of my hopes are True.
I'm Consumed by it,
Mistaking my fantasies for what is Real.
I want to break away from this land of Dreams,
But something is telling me to stay a little Longer.
To ride that carousal one more Time.

For Eternity,
Wandering through its Maze.
Trying to find the Exit,
Yet finding None.
Forevermore,
Lingering in my realm,
Straying farther and farther away from the Truth.
Becoming the lie.

I'm consumed.
