Recorded Laughter
Fake tenderness
Untrue love
Nothing is real
Everything's fake
How can one go on
In a world such as this
The world holds nothing
Nothing to hold onto
Why can't life
Be easier then
Why can't love
Be more then
I do not understand these fake exprssions
These timely tales
That're always told
Seeming so nice
But the real world is different
What happened to what there used to be
Why can't people
See through the laughter
Why can't people
Read the smiles
Even myself has fallen away
Smiling when sad
Loving when angry
It sucks you in unknowingly
Hiding your feelings to make
Everyone else happy
If we're all so happy
Or seeming so
Why is the world
The place it is?
