So my parents actually let me go. Hooray for meeting up with friends from last year and new ones, too. biggrin

Day 1.

So we left the house roughly at 6:30am. Got gas, picked up some friends, grabbed a quick breakfast burrito and we were on our merry way by about 7:45am. Got there at about 8:30-ish and waited in line.

Now, the interesting thing is is the line itself. No matter where you are at in it you could always talk to the people either in front of you or behind you. Such was the case when this guy started complaining about the line. We talked to him a bit, talking about last year's Anime Expo and such, talking about anime and video games, and overall had a fun time with the guy until we got our tickets and split up. He was a cool guy.

So for the next few hours (as nothing happened until roughly 12:00-1:00-ish) we walked around, taking pictures of the many many cosplayers. Twas a grand 'ol time.

So we went walking around, looking around. Finally we went to this "How to Draw Manga", which was pretty cool since they focused on the one part I have the most trouble on: the head. I can never get the face or head right. I should probably practice...

Then we went to the balcony for the Chibi Masquerade. Many people cosplaying very well there. We left shortly after arriving, though. Too hot! &&

Anyways, after that we went to the NEEC voice acting workshop and demonstration panel. Apparently NEEC is a voice acting college in Japan. So we went to that, got a kick out of the acting (it was japanese only, or else I would've given it a shot. ;- wink and taught some English to the students who wanted to learn outside the panel. It was fun. I got a kick out of it.

For the next 2.5hrs, it was more walking around. We continued taking pictures and stuff. Then we went to Anime Singled Out.

Anime Singled Out is basically a parody of the old MTV show Singled Out. Basically, you have the contestant and the participants (which is the audience in this case). The contestant asks a questions, usually pertaining to their interests, and gives an "A" or "B" answer. The participants then split into "A" and "B" groups. The contestant then reads the right answer and all incorrect participants go back and sit down. When it gets down to the last five or so, the contestant asks a personal question, so often times the answers are pretty funny. Mighty fun for those who go again. Jokes are always made and it's always silly fun.

After that, we went home.



Day 2.

I didn't go because it was Sunday. D: I lent a friend my badge, though, so he could go to the Gaia panel and tell me about it. He also told me about the Gaia Social, which was nice to hear. I knew my friends would be there.

Day 3.

So we got there close to 8:30 again. We had nothing better to do, so we waited indoors in the cool AC for the Exhibition Hall to open. I was hoping to see some moderators and other people I might recognize, but I didn't. Instead, I played Magic.

So we went looking around the Exhibition Hall for an hour or so. By this time I started feeling really sick, so I suggested we get something to eat. We went all the way up to the balcony for a teriyaki bowl. It was good. Better than the stuff at school or at the mall, though it was expensive. sweatdrop So afterwards, it was nearing 1:00, so I told my brother I was going off to the Gaia social event to check things out.

So I got there and there was already a huge crowd. The admin were signing things, Ai Leen was holding up Jakobo's OMG to mark the area. So I hovered around a bit, exchanged a quick word with Ai Leen and Ling, shook L0cke's hand, then waited for Moonblossom, Twistex, and fubenkunai.

Eventually they showed. It was great talking to them again. Moony graciously gave me the Mini's but she forgot the velcro so she went up to the room to get it while I chilled with Twist for a bit.

Then the admin started throwing stuff. Oh the chaos of a fanbase. They threw T-Shirts, wristbands (I got me a few ^^ wink , Grunnies and Coco's and Kiki's. In the end, they threw the entire box. Quite literally. That thing was ripped to shreds the minute it descended into Gaians grabbing hands. Jakobo couldn't believe that worked.

So now the admin were off autographing. I got a postcard signed by many of the moderators, a lot of which I didn't expect to see there, like Snaptastic and Futo Maki. So I hung around, talked, took pictures, had fun.

Then Moony wanted to know if I knew where the Block of Orange was. I told her I knew of it. She wanted to know if my brother knew and if he could give her, Twist, fuben, and Futo a ride. I told her I'd call and ask. So eventually, after much confusion, he came down, talked with them, and overall agreed to their demands. So while they were getting ready, we walked around some more. My brother got a manga called MBQ and got it signed by it's creator. It's overall a very...situational manga. Adult or older teen material, really.

So we re-met up with the mods and were about to give in to their demands. I wanted to help, my brother wanted to. But the thing was if we left, we couldn't have reparked in the garage. Even asked an official and they said No. D: Drat. So we wished our mod friends best of luck on their trip to the mall and went our own seperate way.

We eventually made our way to the Anime Trivia panel. Oh it was fun. Watching people not know what something is from while the audience does is always fun. Especially when one of the contestants tries to police the audience. xP Free stuff was given away, everyone laughed. I suggest going to it again.

Afterwards, we went to the Masquearade.

Now, I had a very general idea of what it was. People in cosplay would do skits and the like. However, I had no idea how big, loud, or funny it would be. I was HUGE. It's like an Exhibition Hall, except with chairs, carpet and nothing standing overally tall to obstruct the view of the stage. It was great. Jokes were made at many things. "Everyone's a little bit racists" and "If you were gay" were the name of two. A lot of fun was made at SquareEnix. Many excellent cosplays. It was fantasic. I'm planning on going next year.

And that's pretty much day 2.



Day 4.

I didn't go! I was sick and had a headache that lasted me all day the previous day. D: I did lend another friend my pass, though, so he could enjoy it. My brother also took some pictures.
