This week I have Career Camp. It's at a near by Career and Technology Center (it's 2 year college place). And we did sooo much fun stuff in just these past two days. :3
Day 1 : On Day 1, I was kind of nervous. x3 Because I didn't really know anyone that was going along from my school. But when we got there, everyone was really nice. :3 For our first career we got to do graph design stuff! o: I was like, "omg! YESSSSS! <333" xD <33 We came up with our team name, "The Hot Heads", in a professional brain storming type thingy. Then, made a logo to go along with the name. We also had someone come in and talk about a construction company. That was kind of boring, though... :goonk: And we had lunch then. But after that we got to go back to the graphic design thingy, and we made name id. thingys on the computer. We used photoshop, and it was sooo fun! o: Then I had to go home. ;.;
Day 2 : On Day 2, I wasn't as nervous... but I kind of still was. && We went to an HVAC thingy in the morning. Which stands for Heating, Ventalation, and Air Conditioning. Erm... we didn't actutally do ANY of that stuff. xDD But we did make solar panels to make water warmer. We didn't finsih them, because the other teams have to work on them, too. After that we went to listen to someone talk about some career connect thingy, and then some guy talked about a publishing company. We then had lunch. After lunch we got to go to automotive. And I learned how an engine works. And engines pollute because the fuel that doesn't get burnt or whatever comes out, and pollutes the air. I also learned about diesel fuel, which is more fuel efficent. I also learned about how fuel can be made out of sunflower seeds and corn. But that's not all that great, because 20 acres of sunflower seeds can only take you to the shore and back. @.- Then, we got to go and work in the automotive shop. We got to change tires, and use jacks, and lots of fun stuff. My hands were SOOO gross, though! xDD And my knees are still all black from kneeling on the floor. I need to take a shower. x3 Then we went home. :3
So yeah. That was fun! o: And still 3 more days of career and fun! : D
