Fanime. One of the most anticipated events of the year. I got lucky and I was able to go for one day with my school's Animanga club. There weren't as many tables set up compared to last year. Another thing that was noticeable were the cosplays. While there were more Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts cosplays, some of them weren't as good as I hoped.
The dealer's room was pretty good....it always is anyway. I've noticed that almost every stand was selling the Advent Children action figures, but most of them sold the Vincent or Tifa figures. Sephiroth and Cloud were in lesser numbers. I managed to buy Cloud before there were no more left. It was the only thing I bought.
My sister cosplayed as Misa from Death Note, but she didn't have her blonde hair. She bought more things than I have. She got a Coco kitty from the Gaia stand, some doggy cellphone charm, a Cardcaptors keychain, and two Voodoo babies (but they are not what you think they are) for David and Mom.
The Gaia panel was the main event for most of us, which was from 1 - 3 pm. Since we were coming back from the Peggy Sue's diner, we were late, and I didn't get to see the little slideshow. When we entered, we were given a raffle ticket for virtual prizes. The Gaia staff were answering questions, most of them concerned the future battle system. Someone mentioned the "G blades" too...I wonder how they'll look like. Near the end of the panel, the prizes for the raffle were the Pandy hat, and the Kodiac polar bear hat...unfortunately, none of our group won either of these. But at least there were people chucking t-shirts and Kitty plushies to the attendees. Elaine and Joanna managed to get a free plushie! Damn...I'm not lucky this year.
So after the panel, all of us decided to go back to the dealer's room. After a period of time, we went to get bubble tea, then we had to go home. That sucked since I wanted to see Kamijo.
