I dunno if anyone reads my journals, but I was posting the events of my Disneyland trip last month. I'm taking a break on that, and I just feel like typing down the stuff that's been going on lately.
Alright...A few days ago, I quit karate at the Beresford Rec. Center, because I was getting too old, and I didnt' see any classes for adults. And besides getting too old, I was, well, 'getting left behind'. I decided to change my environment, in hope to progress better. So, yesterday, I transfered to the Oshiro Dojo, which teaches Matsubayashi Shorin-ryu. The dojo also teaches the Yamanni-Chinen ryu, a kobudo (weapons) style. Oh, and those are both Okinawan, if you didn't know. My mom thought I would be forced to start over, since I've been practicing a Japanese style for a while....but not necessarily. One of the senseis said to put on the white belt for the beginning until they can give me the appropiate level. I hope I do well on my first day, after all, I'm not new to karate.
