In this journal entry, I would like to express my views on the documentary titled, "Jesus Camp". It showcases a Christian boot camp, but what makes it really stand out is that the leader, Becky Fisher, draws parallels to the suicide bomber camps in the Middle East. Through this camp, Fisher wants children to be devoted to thier religon.
I have nothing againist religon, but I think the whole Jesus Camp thing takes it too far, in other words, it is a form of extremism. Some people here on Gaia (if you check the ED thread also titled "Jesus Camp" wink describe it as another Crusade or jihad. Watch videos of Jesus Camp (YouTube has a bunch, so it's no problem), and see for yourself. If the movement spreads far and wide, it wouldn't be a surprise if another civil war springs up in the US. If it ever does, I think I'll move to Canada with my cousin, or to Europe.
