xoxoThe Undead Legion is an efficient group, composed of soldiers that do not feel fear of death. Fighting eternally for victory no matter the cost, there are few more powerful armies in the land of the Once Happily Ever After. With no need to eat or sleep, they also boast low financial cost and no need to encourage loyalty. However, there are a number of drawbacks to maintaining such a group of soldiers.
xoxoThe smell alone is something to send friend and foe running for the hills. The bodies inhabited by these souls are often those that have already died, meaning they are in a constant state of decay. Missing flesh and maggots are familiar sights, as well as bloated extremities, spontaneous hair loss, and dispelled bodily fluids. When rot takes to a soldier, they will carry on until a vessel simply cannot move any longer. Some adapt to a loss of a leg that has simply fallen off by dragging themselves along the ground, and some even develop the ability to dig and reemerge from the earth as they please, but most will stop moving altogether after a few short years. Decay touches each soldier differently, but the end result is always the same. Along this same line of thinking, undead bodies never heal. Any damage taken will remain with them permanently until the day when stillness sets in.
xoxoBrand himself bears the wounds he received at death: a puncture wound to the heart, burned hands and forearms, and a head wound from the butt of a sword. Some of his bones have since been broken, forcing his body to hunch from lack of complete structure. His battle style is unaffected by these injuries, as his body is dead to pain. Still, his time is ticking down like any other of the legion - there will come a day when his body will quit.
