Yet another chilly evening greets me as I emerge from my humble abode. No matter, nothing that a roaring fire and a warm drink cannot stave off. The ice in my heart however is another matter entirely. It has started to melt, I am sure of that much, however years of solitude have made me wonder if it can ever work again. Why is it that on the coldest nights that the stars seem to shine brightest? Perhaps it is only cruel irony. Orion shoes itself particularly well tonight. The hunter, my favorite constellation by far. The wind swirls about, tracing it's invisible fingers though my hair while stabbing through my skin. It isn't that I mind the cold, nor the death of nature that it brings with it. Still I have had enough for one night. I will go back to the warmth of the fire and whatever comfort I might find there.
