| *This is a letter that I may have actually sent, provided the King of Pop did not pass away... It's too late to be a tribute. So, this will just be a RIP kind of thing.
 Dear Michael Jackson,

I know, you probably get tens and thousands of letters everyday,
But, I just wanted to tell you this...
I know, there are probably a million people with the same story as me,
But still. I would like to share.
 Michael, Sir,
Really recently, I was raped by a good "friend" of mine, and after it happened, I started to listen to your music. Ironically, one of the first songs I heard from you was "You Are Not Alone". And indeed, after I heard it, I did not feel so "alone".
Whenever someone upset me, I locked myself away in my room and played your music until I fell asleep.
While I was pregnant, even, I liked to bring my headphones to my stomach, and let baby hear your music too. I would not be surprised if my child's first word is "shamone".
Mr. Jackson, Sir, I really hope you know how much difference you made in my life. Your music just... surrounds me in hope. And I feel better after I hear your voice.
There's not much else for me to say but thankyou.

 Your fan,
 Lori.
