Love is the revolution that rocks the earth,
not just a skip of the heartbeat,
a bat of the eyelashes, a longing glance,
but a roller coaster of irrational feelings
as unpredictable as the changes in the weather
yet orderly, with each tiny puzzle piece fitting into place;
full of complicated twists and turns--
going back and forth, side to side, up and down, diagonally--
but as simple as three words--three syllables--
wrapped up with all the passion and fervor in the world.
It knows no bounds, defies all gravity, crosses all times,
as free as a bird, wings spread, gliding over the vast sea,
everlasting--through good and bad, thick and thin--
unforgettable, painful, giddy, beautiful, extraordinary.
Like a hand print on the heart, like footprints in the sand,
love remains--ever present, never ceasing; it expands.
